By placing an order, making a payment, or confirming a booking through aJourney, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and agreed to this Agreement together with our Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Cancellation & Refund Policy.
Nothing in this Agreement limits mandatory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or waived.

Because aJourney offers both digital products and services performed at a future date, specific conditions may differ depending on what you purchase.
3. Electronic Contract Formation
Purchases made through aJourney are distance transactions concluded electronically.
Before completing a transaction, customers are provided with information relating to the relevant product or service, including, where applicable:
- Description of the product or service;
- Price;
- Currency;
- Important product or booking details;
- Date of service;
- Included and excluded services;
- Cancellation conditions;
- Payment method;
- Other material conditions applicable to the purchase.
The Customer is responsible for reviewing this information before submitting an order.
By clicking a button such as “Place Order,” “Pay,” “Buy Now,” “Book Now,” “Complete Purchase,” or another equivalent confirmation button, the Customer indicates their intention to enter into the transaction and pay the displayed amount.
The electronic order and subsequent payment confirmation may constitute evidence of the transaction.
4. Order Confirmation
After an order has been successfully submitted, aJourney may provide confirmation through:
- The website;
- The Customer’s aJourney account;
- Email;
- The mobile application;
- Another electronic communication method.
An order confirmation may contain:
- Order number;
- Customer information;
- Product or service purchased;
- Amount paid;
- Currency;
- Payment status;
- Tour or service date, where applicable;
- Access information for digital content;
- Booking details.
Customers should review their confirmation and contact us promptly if they identify an error.
5. Prices
The applicable price will be displayed on the relevant product, guide, membership, or tour page and/or during checkout.
Prices may be displayed in one or more currencies.
The final amount payable will be shown during checkout before payment is confirmed.
Where applicable, the checkout page may also display:
- Taxes;
- Service charges;
- Booking charges;
- Discounts;
- Promotional reductions;
- Other applicable charges.
We aim to display prices accurately.
However, in the event of an obvious technical, typographical, or system pricing error, we reserve the right to correct the error and, where appropriate, cancel the affected transaction and refund the amount paid.
6. Taxes
Prices may include or exclude applicable taxes depending on the nature of the product, customer location, transaction, and applicable law.
Where taxes are required to be charged separately, they may be displayed during checkout.
Customers may be responsible for taxes, duties, or charges imposed in their own jurisdiction that are not collected directly by aJourney.
7. Accepted Payment Methods
Depending on availability, country, currency, and checkout configuration, aJourney may accept payment through:
- Credit cards;
- Debit cards;
- PayPal;
- Bank-supported online payment methods;
- Digital payment methods;
- Other payment providers displayed during checkout.
The availability of a particular payment method is not guaranteed in every country or for every transaction.
The payment methods displayed during checkout are the methods currently available for that transaction.
8. Credit and Debit Card Payments
Credit and debit card payments may be processed through authorized third-party payment processors.
When entering card information, customers may be redirected to or interact directly with the payment provider’s secure payment infrastructure.
Depending on the payment system used, aJourney may not directly receive or store complete credit or debit card numbers.
Payment providers may apply additional authentication or security procedures, including:
- 3D Secure;
- One-time passwords;
- Bank verification;
- Fraud screening;
- Identity verification.
Failure to complete required verification may result in the transaction being declined or remaining incomplete.
9. PayPal Payments
Where available, customers may choose to pay using PayPal.
PayPal transactions are processed through PayPal’s systems and are also subject to the terms, conditions, privacy policies, and security procedures applicable to the customer’s PayPal account.
aJourney may receive transaction information necessary to confirm and administer the purchase, but does not receive the customer’s PayPal password.
PayPal may perform its own security, fraud-prevention, currency-conversion, or verification procedures.
10. Payment Authorization
By submitting payment information, the Customer represents that they are authorized to use the selected payment method.
The Customer authorizes the applicable payment provider to process the amount shown at checkout.
A transaction may be subject to authorization by:
- The Customer’s bank;
- Card issuer;
- PayPal;
- Payment gateway;
- Fraud-prevention provider;
- Other relevant financial institution.
aJourney cannot guarantee approval of a transaction by a third-party payment provider.
11. Payment Confirmation
A product purchase or booking is considered paid only after the relevant payment has been successfully authorized and confirmed.
An order that is:
- Declined;
- Cancelled;
- Incomplete;
- Reversed;
- Unpaid;
- Flagged for verification
may not result in confirmed access or booking.
For tours and experiences, submitting an order without successful payment does not necessarily reserve a place.
12. Currency and Currency Conversion
Products and services may be offered in different currencies.
If the currency of your payment method differs from the currency used by aJourney, your:
- Bank;
- Card issuer;
- PayPal;
- Payment provider
may perform currency conversion.
The exchange rate applied by your payment provider may differ from market exchange rates or rates displayed elsewhere.
The payment provider may also charge:
- Currency conversion fees;
- International transaction fees;
- Foreign transaction fees;
- Other banking charges.
Such charges are determined by the relevant financial institution and are generally outside aJourney’s control.
13. Digital Products and Delivery
Digital travel guides and other digital products do not require physical delivery.
After successful payment, digital products may be delivered by:
- Providing access through the Customer’s aJourney account;
- Unlocking the purchased guide;
- Activating membership access;
- Providing an electronic link;
- Making the content available through the aJourney application;
- Another electronic delivery method.
Digital access may be activated immediately or shortly after payment confirmation.
No shipping charges apply to products delivered exclusively in digital form unless expressly stated otherwise.
14. Immediate Digital Access
By purchasing digital content that is made available immediately after payment, you expressly request that aJourney begin providing the digital service or content without waiting for any otherwise applicable withdrawal period, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
You acknowledge that once digital content has been supplied, accessed, downloaded, opened, or otherwise substantially delivered, your ability to cancel the purchase or request a refund may be limited.
This does not affect mandatory consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.
Detailed refund conditions for digital products are provided in our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
15. Digital Content License
Purchasing a digital guide does not transfer ownership of the intellectual property contained in the guide.
The purchase grants the Customer a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the purchased content for personal purposes.
Unless expressly permitted by aJourney, Customers may not:
- Resell digital guides;
- Redistribute paid content;
- Share account access for the purpose of avoiding additional purchases;
- Reproduce substantial portions of paid guides;
- Publish paid content elsewhere;
- Circumvent access controls.
Additional conditions are provided in our Digital Content Terms and Terms & Conditions.
16. Tour and Experience Bookings
For tours and experiences, the product or booking page will provide relevant information about the service.
Depending on the tour, this may include:
- Date;
- Starting time;
- Approximate finishing time;
- Meeting point;
- Itinerary;
- Included services;
- Excluded services;
- Transportation;
- Meals;
- Entrance fees;
- Participant requirements;
- Maximum group size;
- Cancellation conditions.
Customers are responsible for reviewing these details before payment.
Successful payment confirms the Customer’s intention to purchase the tour subject to the booking conditions applicable to that service.
17. No Physical Shipping for Tours
A tour booking represents the purchase of a service to be performed on the specified or confirmed date.
No physical product is shipped.
Booking confirmation will normally be provided electronically.
Customers should retain their electronic booking confirmation and have access to it on the day of the experience where reasonably necessary.
18. Customer Information
Customers are responsible for providing accurate information during checkout and booking.
This may include:
- Name;
- Email address;
- Billing information;
- Country;
- Number of participants;
- Contact information;
- Other information required for the selected service.
aJourney is not responsible for delays or inability to deliver electronic communications caused by incorrect information supplied by the Customer.
19. User Accounts
Certain purchases may require or automatically create an aJourney user account.
The Customer is responsible for maintaining the security of their account.
Where available, accounts may be accessed using:
- Email and password;
- Google Sign-In;
- Sign in with Apple;
- Facebook Login (Meta);
- Other supported authentication methods.
Purchased digital content may be associated with the Customer’s account.
Customers should therefore use the same account when accessing previously purchased content.
20. Fraud Prevention and Security Checks
Transactions may be subject to automated or manual security checks.
We may temporarily delay, review, reject, or cancel a transaction where there is reasonable evidence of:
- Fraud;
- Unauthorized payment;
- Stolen payment credentials;
- Account takeover;
- Unusual transaction activity;
- Chargeback abuse;
- Incorrect pricing caused by a technical error;
- Violation of our Terms & Conditions.
We may request reasonable additional verification before processing certain transactions.
21. Failed Payments
If payment fails, the purchase may remain incomplete.
Possible causes include:
- Insufficient funds;
- Incorrect card details;
- Expired card;
- Bank rejection;
- Failed authentication;
- Payment provider restrictions;
- Fraud-prevention measures;
- Technical problems.
Customers may attempt another supported payment method where available.
If money appears to have been charged despite receiving a failed-payment notification, please contact info@ajourney.app so that we can investigate the transaction.
22. Duplicate Payments
If a Customer is accidentally charged more than once for the same transaction, they should contact:
Where we verify an unintended duplicate payment, the duplicate amount will normally be refunded to the original payment method.
23. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation and refund conditions differ between digital products and tours.
For example:
- Immediately accessible digital products may become non-refundable after access has been provided, subject to applicable law;
- Tour refunds may depend on how far in advance the Customer cancels;
- No-shows may be non-refundable;
- Certain third-party costs may be non-refundable;
- Tours cancelled by aJourney may qualify for rescheduling, credit, or refund.
The complete conditions are set out in our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
The Cancellation & Refund Policy forms part of this Agreement.
Where specific cancellation conditions are clearly displayed on a particular product or tour page before purchase, those specific conditions also form part of the transaction.
24. Refund Method
Where a refund is approved, it will normally be returned through the original payment method.
For example, a purchase made through PayPal will normally be refunded through PayPal, while a card transaction will normally be refunded to the relevant card or card account.
We generally cannot redirect a refund to an unrelated payment method or another person’s account.
25. Refund Processing Times
Once aJourney initiates an approved refund, the time required for the amount to appear in the Customer’s account depends on the relevant:
- Bank;
- Card issuer;
- Card network;
- PayPal;
- Payment processor.
Processing times are therefore not entirely within aJourney’s control.
26. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you believe that a payment was incorrect or that a purchased service was not properly provided, please contact us first at:
We will make reasonable efforts to investigate and resolve legitimate issues.
Customers retain any lawful rights to contact their bank, card issuer, PayPal, or other payment provider.
However, knowingly initiating a false or fraudulent chargeback may result in account restrictions or other appropriate action permitted by law.
27. Subscriptions and Recurring Payments
If aJourney offers subscription-based memberships or other recurring services, the recurring nature of the payment, billing frequency, applicable price, and relevant cancellation conditions will be disclosed before purchase.
By purchasing a recurring subscription, the Customer authorizes recurring charges according to the terms displayed at checkout until the subscription is cancelled or otherwise terminated.
Where available, Customers may manage or cancel subscriptions through their account or by contacting customer support.
Cancellation generally prevents future renewal charges but does not automatically refund a billing period that has already started, subject to applicable law.
28. Promotional Codes and Discounts
aJourney may occasionally provide:
- Promotional codes;
- Discount codes;
- Account credits;
- Special offers;
- Bundle discounts.
Promotional offers may have specific eligibility requirements and expiration dates.
Unless otherwise stated:
- Promotional codes have no cash value;
- Discounts cannot be exchanged for cash;
- Multiple promotions may not be combined;
- Discounts apply only to eligible purchases.
If a discounted transaction is refunded, any eligible refund will normally be based on the amount actually paid.
29. Electronic Communications
By purchasing through aJourney, you agree that transaction-related communications may be provided electronically.
These may include:
- Order confirmations;
- Payment confirmations;
- Receipts;
- Booking confirmations;
- Tour instructions;
- Changes to bookings;
- Refund notifications;
- Security communications;
- Important information concerning purchased services.
These operational communications are separate from optional marketing communications.
30. Errors in Orders
Customers should review their order carefully before completing payment.
If you discover an error after completing an order, contact:
We will make reasonable efforts to correct the issue where possible.
Changes to tour dates, participants, or other booking details may be subject to availability and the applicable booking conditions.
31. Availability
Products and services are subject to availability.
A tour may have limited capacity.
If, because of a technical error, a Customer successfully pays for a service that cannot actually be provided, aJourney will offer an appropriate solution, which may include:
- An alternative date;
- An alternative service;
- Account credit;
- A refund.
Where no suitable alternative is accepted or available, the amount paid for the unavailable service will normally be refunded.
32. Third-Party Services
Some components of aJourney services may be supplied by independent third parties, including:
- Payment processors;
- Banks;
- Tour guides;
- Drivers;
- Transportation providers;
- Restaurants;
- Attractions;
- Activity operators;
- Other travel suppliers.
Payment or booking information may be shared with such providers only where reasonably necessary to process the transaction or provide the purchased service, as further described in our Privacy Policy.
33. Travel Information and Customer Responsibility
Purchasing a travel guide or tour does not replace the Customer’s responsibility to ensure that they satisfy applicable travel requirements.
Customers remain responsible for matters such as:
- Passports;
- Visas;
- Immigration requirements;
- Travel insurance;
- Transportation to the meeting point;
- Personal travel arrangements;
- Compliance with local laws and regulations.
Unless expressly included in a purchased service, these matters are not part of the sale.
34. Consumer Rights
Nothing in this Agreement is intended to exclude, restrict, or waive rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer protection laws.
Because aJourney serves international customers, mandatory consumer rights applicable in a Customer’s country or jurisdiction may apply to certain transactions.
Where a mandatory legal requirement conflicts with a provision of this Agreement, the mandatory requirement will prevail to the extent required by law.
35. Governing Law
This Agreement and transactions entered into with PT Awakening Journey Bali are governed by the applicable laws of the Republic of Indonesia, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights that may apply to Customers in other jurisdictions.
Where possible, disputes should first be addressed through good-faith communication between the Customer and aJourney.
36. Relationship With Other Policies
This Agreement should be read together with our:
- Terms & Conditions
- Privacy Policy
- Cancellation & Refund Policy
- Cookie Policy
- Digital Content Terms
- Tour Booking Terms
- Data Security & Payment Security Policy
These documents collectively govern the relevant aspects of your relationship with aJourney.
If a specific product or service contains additional conditions disclosed before purchase, those conditions also form part of the relevant transaction.
37. Changes to This Agreement
We may update this Payment & Distance Sale Agreement from time to time to reflect changes in:
- Payment methods;
- Products and services;
- Technology;
- Business operations;
- Payment providers;
- Legal or regulatory requirements.
