Available payment methods may include:
- Credit card;

- Other payment methods displayed during checkout.
Payment processing is governed by our Payment & Distance Sale Agreement.
A place on a tour is not guaranteed until the applicable booking and payment have been successfully confirmed.

The tour description will specify, where applicable, whether the price is:

Some aJourney tours may depart from a designated meeting point rather than offering hotel pickup.
Customers should verify the meeting location in advance and allow sufficient travel time.
Transportation to the meeting point is the customer’s responsibility unless expressly included in the tour.
12. Meeting and Departure Times
Customers should arrive by the stated meeting time.
The meeting time and actual departure time may be different where a briefing, check-in, or preparation period is included before departure.
Tours may operate according to a fixed schedule.
Customers are responsible for checking their booking confirmation for the correct:
- Date;
- Meeting time;

Waiting for late participants may negatively affect:
- Other participants;
- Venue reservations;
- Entrance times;
- Restaurant arrangements;
- Transportation;
- The overall itinerary.
If you expect to be late, please contact aJourney as soon as possible.
If the tour has already departed and participation is no longer reasonably possible, the booking may be treated as a no-show.
14. No-Shows
A participant who fails to arrive at the stated meeting point within the required time without an agreed alternative arrangement may be considered a no-show.
No-shows are generally non-refundable.
This may include situations caused by:

- Incorrectly remembered times;
- Failure to check booking information;
- Personal transportation problems;
- Traffic that could reasonably have been anticipated;
- Going to an incorrect meeting point;
- Other circumstances attributable to the participant.

- Ceremonies;
- Road closures;
- Crowd levels;
- Waiting times;
- Local events;
- Other operational conditions.
Customers should avoid making tightly timed commitments immediately after a tour where possible.

However, aJourney may reasonably modify:
- The order of locations;
- Visiting times;
- Restaurants;
- Activities;
- Routes;
- Transportation arrangements;
- Individual stops;
- Starting or finishing times
where operational, safety, cultural, weather, traffic, or other circumstances make a change appropriate.
A reasonable itinerary modification does not constitute cancellation of the entire tour.
Where a significant attraction or activity becomes unavailable, we will make reasonable efforts to provide an appropriate alternative where possible.
17. Temples and Religious Sites
Some aJourney tours may visit temples, sacred areas, or locations of religious and cultural significance.
Participants must respect local customs and site rules.
This may include requirements relating to:
- Clothing;
- Sarongs or temple attire;
- Behavior;
- Photography;
- Restricted areas;
- Ceremonies;
- Silence;
- Offerings;
- Local religious practices.
Access to particular areas may be restricted by temple authorities or local customs without prior notice.

- Local communities;
- Religious traditions;
- Cultural practices;
- Other participants;
- Guides;

Behavior that is seriously disrespectful, abusive, threatening, dangerous, discriminatory, or disruptive may result in removal from the tour.
In such circumstances, a refund may not be provided where permitted by applicable law.

Some experiences may involve physical activity.
Depending on the tour, this may include:
- Walking;
- Stairs;
- Uneven surfaces;

- Rivers;
- Beaches;
- Other water-related activities.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, participation in optional swimming or water activities is voluntary.

Guides may restrict access to a water activity where conditions are considered unsafe.
21. Personal Health and Participation
Participants are responsible for determining whether they are reasonably capable of participating in the booked activity.
If you have circumstances that may materially affect your ability to safely participate in an experience, you should consider the activity requirements before booking and inform us of relevant participation needs where appropriate.
aJourney does not provide medical advice.
Participants should seek appropriate professional advice where necessary before undertaking activities.
22. Children and Minors
Children may participate in certain tours where appropriate.
Age restrictions may apply to particular experiences and will be stated where relevant.
Minors must normally be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or responsible authorized adult unless expressly agreed otherwise.

- Swimwear;
- Dry clothes;
- Underwear or a change of clothing;
- Bag for wet clothes;
- Sunscreen;
- Hat;
- Temple-appropriate clothing;
- Water;
- Other personal items.
Customers are responsible for reviewing the relevant tour information before departure.
25. Weather
Tours may continue during normal tropical weather, including light or moderate rain.
Weather alone does not necessarily result in cancellation.
However, aJourney may:
- Modify;
- Delay;
- Reschedule;
- Replace part of;
- Or cancel
an experience where weather conditions create a significant safety or operational issue.
Relevant cancellation and refund conditions are described in our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
26. Natural Conditions and Wildlife
Travel experiences may take place in natural environments.
Participants may encounter:
- Wildlife;
- Monkeys;
- Insects;
- Plants;
- Rocks;
- Uneven terrain;
- Water;
- Mud;
- Slippery surfaces;
- Changing weather.
Participants should follow guide instructions and avoid unnecessary interaction with wildlife.
Wild animals are inherently unpredictable, even at locations regularly visited by tourists.
27. Transportation
Where transportation is included, it may be provided by aJourney or an independent transportation provider.
Vehicles may vary depending on:
- Group size;
- Tour type;
- Availability;
- Road conditions;
- Destination requirements.
Customers must follow reasonable safety instructions while using transportation.
Seat belts should be used where available and required.
28. Third-Party Providers
Certain components of a tour may be provided by independent third parties.
These may include:
- Drivers;
- Local guides;
- Restaurants;
- Attractions;
- Temples;
- Activity operators;
- Transportation companies;
- Venues;
- Ticket providers.
aJourney coordinates these services where they form part of the booked experience but does not directly control every aspect of an independent provider’s operations.
Nothing in these Tour Terms limits liability that cannot legally be excluded.
29. Meals and Dietary Requirements
Where meals are included, the tour page will normally indicate this.
Customers with dietary preferences or requirements should notify us as early as reasonably possible.
We may attempt to communicate dietary requests to restaurants or food providers but cannot guarantee that every dietary requirement can be accommodated.
Food preparation and allergen management may be controlled by independent restaurants or food providers.
Participants with serious food allergies should exercise appropriate caution and communicate directly with relevant food providers where necessary.
30. Alcohol and Intoxication
Participants must behave responsibly during tours.
Where a participant is significantly intoxicated or under the influence of substances in a manner that creates a safety risk or materially disrupts the tour, aJourney may refuse or discontinue their participation.
A refund may not be provided in such circumstances where permitted by applicable law.
31. Safety Instructions
Participants must follow reasonable safety instructions given by:
- aJourney staff;
- Tour guides;
- Drivers;
- Venue staff;
- Activity operators;
- Local authorities.
Failure to follow reasonable safety instructions may result in a participant being unable to continue an activity or tour.
32. Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that international travelers maintain suitable travel insurance.
Depending on the traveler’s needs, insurance may cover matters such as:
- Medical emergencies;
- Accidents;
- Personal belongings;
- Trip cancellation;
- Flight disruption;
- Missed connections;
- Emergency transportation;
- Other travel risks.

This may include:
- Valid passport;
- Visa;
- Entry permission;
- Immigration requirements;
- Other required documentation.
A tour booking with aJourney does not guarantee entry into Indonesia or any other country.
Visa or immigration problems do not automatically entitle a customer to a refund.
34. Cancellation by the Customer

More than 7 days before the scheduled tour:
100% refund.
Between 72 hours and 7 days before the scheduled tour:
50% refund.
Less than 72 hours before the scheduled tour:
Generally non-refundable.
Full conditions and exceptions are described in our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
35. Rescheduling
Customers may request to reschedule a tour.
Rescheduling is subject to:
- Availability;
- Notice provided;
- Tour type;
- Guide availability;
- Transportation availability;
- Third-party commitments;
- Other operational considerations.
A request to change a date is not confirmed until aJourney provides confirmation.
Price differences may apply.
36. Cancellation by aJourney
In rare circumstances, aJourney may need to cancel an entire tour because of:
- Significant safety concerns;
- Severe weather;
- Natural disasters;
- Volcanic activity;
- Government restrictions;
- Major road closures;

- Operational impossibility;
- Other circumstances that prevent the experience from reasonably operating.
If aJourney cancels the entire tour and cannot provide a suitable alternative, customers will normally be offered:
- A full refund;
- Rescheduling; or
- Account credit.
Full conditions are provided in our Cancellation & Refund Policy.

aJourney is not responsible for failure or delay caused by circumstances reasonably outside our control.
These may include:

- Volcanic eruptions;
- Floods;
- Severe storms;
- Landslides;
- Epidemics;
- Government restrictions;
- Civil disturbances;
- Transportation disruption;
- Religious or cultural closures;
- Other extraordinary events.
Where possible, we will make reasonable efforts to provide an appropriate alternative arrangement.
38. Photography and Video by Participants
Participants may generally take personal photographs and videos during tours where permitted.
Photography may be restricted at:
- Temples;
- Ceremonies;
- Sacred areas;
- Private property;
- Certain attractions.
Participants must respect local rules and instructions.
Commercial photography or professional productions may require separate permission.
39. Photography and Video by aJourney
During some tours, aJourney staff or guides may take photographs or videos as part of the experience.
Where photography or video is specifically included as part of a purchased tour, the material may be provided to participants for personal use.
We will not rely solely on these Tour Terms as permission to use an identifiable participant’s image for advertising or promotional purposes where separate consent is required by applicable law.
Where we wish to use identifiable customer photographs or videos for promotional purposes, appropriate consent may be requested.
40. User-Generated Content
If you voluntarily provide aJourney with:
- Reviews;
- Testimonials;
- Photographs;
- Videos;
- Comments;
- Travel feedback
we may ask for permission to publish or share that content.
Submitting content does not automatically transfer ownership of your original content to aJourney.
Any promotional use of identifiable personal content will be handled in accordance with applicable law and our Privacy Policy.
41. Personal Expenses
Participants are responsible for personal expenses not expressly included in the tour.
Examples may include:
- Additional drinks;
- Additional meals;
- Souvenirs;
- Optional activities;
- Personal shopping;
- Tips;
- Commercial photography services;
- Other personal purchases.
42. Missed Activities
No refund will normally be provided where a participant voluntarily chooses not to participate in an included activity or leaves a tour early.
Similarly, no refund will normally be provided for a missed part of the itinerary caused by the participant’s late arrival.
43. Complaints During a Tour
If you experience a problem during a tour, please inform the guide or aJourney representative as soon as reasonably possible.
Reporting an issue while the tour is taking place may allow us to resolve the matter immediately.
Where reasonably possible, aJourney will attempt to correct service problems, provide an alternative, or otherwise address legitimate concerns during the experience.
Failure to report an issue during the tour does not automatically remove any rights available under applicable law, but early notification may make it easier for us to investigate and resolve the matter.
44. Complaints After a Tour
If you wish to raise a complaint after completing a tour, please contact:
Please provide:
- Your full name;
- Email address used for the booking;
- Booking or order number;
- Date of the tour;
- Name of the tour;
- Description of the issue;
- Relevant photographs, documents, or other supporting information where appropriate.
We will review legitimate complaints and make reasonable efforts to provide an appropriate response.
45. Refund Requests

Eligibility for a refund may depend on circumstances such as:
- When the cancellation request was submitted;
- Whether the customer attended the tour;
- Whether the service was provided;
- Whether third-party costs had already been incurred;
- Whether aJourney cancelled the tour;
- Whether extraordinary circumstances affected the service;
- Applicable consumer protection law.
Submitting a refund request does not automatically guarantee that a refund will be approved.
46. Responsibility for Third-Party Purchases
During a tour, participants may have opportunities to purchase additional goods or services directly from independent businesses.
These may include:
- Food and beverages;
- Souvenirs;
- Photographs;
- Spa treatments;
- Optional activities;
- Additional transportation;
- Products from local businesses.
Unless expressly sold by aJourney, these transactions are made directly between the participant and the relevant third party.
aJourney is not a party to such independent transactions and does not control the third party’s pricing, refund policy, product quality, or other terms.
47. Recommendations During Tours
Guides may recommend restaurants, shops, attractions, activities, or other businesses during an experience.
Such recommendations may be based on:
- Local knowledge;
- Previous experience;
- Convenience;
- Location;
- Quality;
- Suitability for the itinerary.
Unless expressly disclosed otherwise, a recommendation does not mean that aJourney owns or controls the recommended business.
Where a commercial relationship, commission, or partnership exists and disclosure is legally required, we will make reasonable efforts to disclose it appropriately.
48. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, aJourney and PT Awakening Journey Bali shall not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising solely from circumstances outside our reasonable control.
This may include losses resulting from:
- Independent changes to a traveler’s wider itinerary;
- Missed flights or transportation following a tour;
- Third-party service failures outside our reasonable control;
- Personal decisions made by participants;
- Loss of personal belongings caused by a participant’s failure to reasonably safeguard them.
Nothing in these Tour Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
Nothing in these Tour Terms is intended to remove mandatory consumer protection rights.

By participating in a tour, customers acknowledge that travel and outdoor activities may involve ordinary and reasonably foreseeable risks.
Depending on the experience, these may include:
- Traffic;
- Uneven ground;
- Steps;
- Tropical weather;
- Wet surfaces;
- Waterfalls;
- Rivers;
- Swimming;
- Wildlife;
- Heat;
- Physical exertion;
- Remote or natural environments.
Participants are expected to exercise reasonable care and follow safety instructions.
Acceptance of these normal travel risks does not waive any rights or protections that cannot legally be waived.
50. Participant Conduct and Removal From a Tour
aJourney may refuse or discontinue participation where a participant’s conduct creates a serious safety, legal, or operational problem.
Examples may include:
- Threatening or violent behavior;
- Harassment of other participants, guides, staff, or local residents;
- Serious intoxication;
- Intentional damage to property;
- Repeated refusal to follow important safety instructions;
- Illegal conduct;
- Serious disrespect at sacred or religious sites;
- Conduct that materially prevents the tour from operating normally.
Where a participant is removed because of serious misconduct attributable to that participant, a refund may not be available, subject to applicable law.
51. Local Laws and Regulations
Participants must comply with the laws and regulations applicable in the destination where the tour takes place.
Participants must also follow lawful instructions issued by:
- Local authorities;
- Religious institutions;
- Attraction operators;
- Police;
- Government agencies;
- Other competent authorities.
aJourney is not responsible for consequences resulting from a participant’s unlawful conduct.
52. Special Events, Ceremonies and Local Closures
Bali and other destinations may experience temporary changes caused by:
- Religious ceremonies;
- Temple events;
- Festivals;

- Traditional ceremonies.
These events may affect:
- Road access;
- Traffic;
- Opening hours;
- Temple access;
- Attraction availability;
- Tour schedules.
Such circumstances form part of the nature of travel and may occasionally require itinerary changes.
Where possible, aJourney will adapt the itinerary in a reasonable manner.
53. Guides
Tours may be led or supported by local guides selected according to the nature of the experience.
aJourney may replace a scheduled guide where necessary because of:
- Illness;
- Availability;
- Operational changes;
- Emergencies;
- Scheduling issues;
- Other reasonable circumstances.
A change of guide does not normally constitute cancellation of the tour.
54. Group Tours
Participants booking a group tour acknowledge that the experience is shared with other travelers.
Participants should therefore:
- Respect agreed departure times;
- Avoid unnecessarily delaying the group;
- Respect other participants;
- Follow reasonable instructions relating to the schedule.
The itinerary must balance the interests of the overall group.
Individual participants may not require significant changes to the itinerary unless agreed by aJourney.
55. Private Tours
Where a tour is specifically sold as a private experience, participation will generally be limited to the customer and the persons included in their booking.
Private tours may offer additional flexibility, but all requested itinerary modifications remain subject to:
- Time;
- Safety;
- Traffic;
- Attraction opening hours;
- Supplier availability;
- Local conditions;
- Operational feasibility.
56. Minimum Participant Requirements
Certain tours may require a minimum number of participants.
Where a minimum participant requirement applies, this will be indicated where reasonably appropriate.
If the minimum requirement is not met, aJourney may:
- Offer another available date;
- Offer an alternative experience;
- Provide account credit;
- Cancel the tour and provide an applicable refund.
Where aJourney cancels the tour because the required minimum participation is not reached, customers will not be charged a cancellation penalty.

We cannot guarantee that every destination or third-party venue will be fully accessible.
59. Tour Content and Intellectual Property
Original tour descriptions, itineraries, photographs, written materials, educational content, exercises, and other materials created by aJourney may be protected by intellectual property laws.
Customers may use information provided during a tour for their personal travel experience.
Unless authorized in writing, participants may not reproduce or commercially exploit substantial proprietary aJourney tour content for purposes such as:
- Creating competing commercial tours;

- Tour date;
- Number of participants;
